Foods and herbs just might be a first-line of defense for health instead of modern medications. Far too much emphasis is placed on using drugs first and ignoring what centuries of world-wide practice has shown that using plants prevent disease and restore health during illness. (Nature’s Pharmacy)
Ayurveda teaches that proper food and lifestyle are the basis for good health and well-being. Since these are 2 aspects of our life which we can exercise control over, we can say that a lot of our decision making makes us responsible for our health and well-being.
I am an Ayurveda Lifestyle and Nutrition Consultant who has been practicing Ayurveda for several years. During this time I have helped people make better food and lifestyle choices. As a result of their gradual modifications, these individuals have experienced weight loss, improved sleeping, reduced IBS symptoms, improved digestion and reduced inflammation, among other positive changes.
I love doing cooking demos and cooking workshops, showing people how simple it is to make a healthy, flavorful meal. With the right food and food combinations, we allow our bodies to better digest the food we consume and thus assimilate its nutrients.
